The NPS has been hosting a university research team who are studying the backcountry SARs over the past 10 years.

They are having a park-wide meeting on August 30, 11am, at the Nature Center to present the results of this study, which should prove to be very interesting. Additionally they will be providing other information about the Park and a State of the park address by Jock.

You are invited. Show up a little early, as it will be busy.

It is a good opportunity to meet with Park staff, meet Superintendent Jock Whitworth, and hear about how they operate our Park.

    Enjoy,

    Tom

Thanks for sharing, Tom. Out of curiosity what university was conducting the research?

The message came through the ZNP email list (I think, via JDZ), and I have quoted the complete message. Maybe tomorrow, I will know. I will try to get hard copies of each, to post.
