over the past 9 years i've been compiling harvey halpern's photography of southern utah wilderness (overland and in-canyon). spanning decades, many photos are originally from slides, though more recently medium format and digital have come into the fold.

the site contains over 300 photos divided into albums of different subject matter (landscape, mud, form, alpine, ruins & rock art, friends, etc). harvey has shown me just how beautiful *mud * can be (possibly my favorite album).

a 'new additions ' page keeps track of photos that have been recently added to the many albums

one of the most profound effects the internet has had on me has been the sharing of experiences of others through stories and photographs, giving a new dimension to the word vicarious.

i hope you enjoy harvey's photos as much as i have ( click any thumbnail photo on the site to zoom it )

This one is awesome, and really captures what canyoneering is all about. What canyon is this?
