A group of six of us went in from Wire Pass, camped at the confluence with the Paria, and out to White Horse the second day. The canyon has little water with only two wades (one of which is about 3'). Several other small pools are easily bouldered around. There was a handline set up at the Rabbit Hole, although the Moki steps are accessible. There were easily 20 people at the confluence campsite, and people are not packing out their waste/TP. The much feared viscous mice did not materialize. The whole hike was *very* sandy this time around.

Probably the most bizarre tidbit from the trip was the incredibly high quantity of rabbit parts strewn throughout the canyon. Literally there are rabbits feet, heads, and bits of fur everywhere. We started naming these rab-bits things like "bun-bons" and "bun-nuggets".

The day before, Todd and I went down a short canyon that crosses 89, 10 miles N. of Page. It had this interesting 2 piton + 2 bolt anchor, inter-connected with webbing in an escher-esque fashion...... for a handline (note handline rope connected to only one strand of webbing). Not a bad way to spend an hour.

    Nice Trail report. :)

Bo and I did Buckskin last weekend too... as a one day hike. It was amazing, as you said, all the left of bird munchies left in the canyon. Those ravens perched along the trail were pretty cool. It was like they just waited for something to either be dropped down by other birds or something? Yes, very sandy!

Here our Bo and my photos from that trip. The photos show the moki steps and rope part.
