Tech Tip: tying the Stone Knot

    Tom, thanks for the tip. Looks very easy to tie. I've used a butterfly knot in the past to secure the rope but isolate each strand independently. Although I have never had folks simul rap off each end of the butterfly (but see no reason it wouldn't work). Does the stone knot have an advantage over the butterfly?

    only, that it is probably easier to tie and untie. And easier to inspect.
