On Saturday Sept, 8th small group of awesome volunteers hiked into the West Clear Creek wilderness with buckets, scrub pads, and brushes to remove the graffiti that was spreading in the grotto area below the big rappel in Sundance Canyon. All it took was some water, elbow grease, and a little perseverance and we were able to restore the beauty of the canyon in no time. A fire ring in the grotto was dismantled in hopes that more charcoal graffiti will not reappear. A big thank you for all who attended. If you are not already a member, don't forget to join the CAC. http://www.americancanyoneers.org/join-now/ Scrub, Rinse, Repeat... Making quick work of the graffiti removal. The graffiti has spread over the past 3 months. Even up high in the grotto people were leaving their mark. :-( Before on the north wall After on the north wall Before on the wall below the rappel. After on the wall below the rappel. How do people think this is okay to do? Lets go! Good Work everyone.
