The SQWUREL works great for long single-rope raps, but it does twist the rope a fair amount when used in Simple Mode. Most of the time this doesn't present a problem, but for those times when it might, the pictured rig can be used to significantly reduce rope twist on single rope. See below the pic for usage notes. Main points: Use round or oval stock HMS carabiners (no I-beam 'biners) Ideally, use two identical carabiners; if using carabiners of different frame lengths, the shorter-framed carabiner must be used as the SQL attachment carabiner to get the anti-twist benefit The extra carabiner must be positioned as shown: between the SQL attachment carabiner and the tail of the SQL, and resting on the top side of the SQL. Do not use deeply grooved/worn carabiners Other: Has not been tested on double rope Could be used in Jumbo mode (has not been well-tested), but Jumbo is already less-twisty, so no clear benefit Cannot be used with Behemoth mode as the rope won't stay in place Please check it out and post feedback here.
