    Hi all,

I've search all over to get an idea on when to retire / replace a rope.

I'm on a canyon fire rope for the past 2 years. Recently on a long rappel ( 200ft )I've notice some significant bounce to the rope when I was testing it close to the bottom of the rappel.

    What do you all recommend?

sheath damage beware... and if bad retire the length or cut the segment away and use the good segments
    core damage, same as above
no damage, keep on enjoying that rope!
