who cares about a rapide strength - you are not lead climbing! why not talk about how in God's green earth you think its good form to drag a climbing rope over a "rod" of ever decreasing radius - the smaller the radius the higher the internal stresses and distortions and degradation in the kerjillions of fibers of the rope. My preference would be to take big clunky rapides just to be kind to my rope - my rope is my life! And yes, I am an engineer. P.S.
