Not here to critique. Just post pictures of anchors you have built or have encountered on your adventures. Just looking to see what others are or have been using.

    I'll start

I'll admit that that one of these is mine. The other is not

My guess is the stick is yours? In the right situation it could work, like a short rap into a watery pothole with absolutely no other options at hand. Plus that stick could be thick and strong, if it's not too rotten. While the bolt one is just inexplicable. What sort of knot is that anyway? Someone really had no webbing at all? And is that just tied off with no retrieval options?

It was just junk rope tied with a bowline.

This is going to be a fun thread. Wish I'd taken a picture of the floating pack rap I did in Heaps (on a 15 foot waterslide that I didn't want to get hurt on as the first one down.)

    Rigged this one, it's a chock-pot.

Placing the rock juuuuust right to aid the potshots in wedging was key to this anchor.

I like the rock in that one better than the fiddlesticked rock in the Mumbai thread.

I thought this was a thread about marginal anchors... that one is hardly marginal.

It's a tremendous strain on the rock troll's nostrils to have that anchor threaded like that.

Let's keep this thread to natural and ghosting anchors.

Tom started a bolt thread. Let's put the bolt pics over there.
