  1. It's a great resource for technical info. Not so hot if you're looking to 'chat' for the sake of entertainment. However, Rich is 'entertaining' if nothing else. ;-)

That's because Rich doesn't care much for "chat". Lots of students with follow-up questions. Hard to keep up with personal emails. The forum is much more efficient for now. As soon as I get a chance, I plan to add a technical category to the FAQ section of canyoneering.net.

How did your valdotain (AKA valdistano AKA valdy AKA Floyd) training go on Wednesday evening?

I know I have certainly gotten my quarters worth of entertainment out of him ;-)

But alas, Rich has now seen fit to ban me from all ACA groups and chapters......

I assume some of you ACA Chapter presidents who specificly invited me were aware of this??? Oh well.... so much for running your own chapters as you see fit.

Sure he does..... problem is he is just not very good at it....

    >>Shane It is such a pleasure to have you back posting here.

Gosh Ram.... thanks for the welcome. I thought you guys would appriciate an orginal thread so your moderators wouldn't have to keep trying to hi-jack them from other groups ;-)

If it's easier for you I will be happy to sign up under my Porn Star name..... "Buck Nakid"!!!

  6. Hmm, no invitation here. (but I'm only 1 president) You did feel free to join my group and use the email address' to spam for your group. That is not such a huge deal to me but it just seemed funny for you to use ACA resources to further yourself when you so freely throw it under the bus. I'd feel funny about doing such a thing, but that is just me.

Well, I don't know what Shane did in your group but I'm pretty sure it could be construed as spamming for the Canyoneer Group. Sorry, chastise Shane as you will. He can be a very bad boy as we all know.

But Rich spammed my group under a false name and false pretenses.

I'm a little offended, but I've come to expect it. Would be nice if people stood behind what they say with their real name. I do.

Silly pony...... I never used your tiny group for emails. Why would I do that when I have the big boy ACA mailing list?

And I doubt it can be considered Spam when over 80% of those extended an invitation accepted. But hey..... you're making this shit up fast as you can so I'll let you decide if it's spam or not........

Gosh.... I sure wish you ACA guys would get the initial details correct before you begin name calling, personal attacks and false rumors...... it just looks better.

    Bill,

You and Shane are jumping to some erroneous conclusions. I have opened my home to many friends, students, and ACA members. They sleep here, drink my beer, borrow my truck and my gear, and USE MY COMPUTER.

I even let Randi play with my ass while she was here.
  10. You banned me from all your groups when I never posted a negative or destructive item to them. After I was invited by chapter members to join. I never miss used your egroups in any way, contrary to Silly Pony's suggestion.

You come over to our website and try to stick it to both of us under an assumed name and didn't even have the common courtesy to offer us a reach around.

You do all this AFTER last year when I promised to treat you nicely and with respect.

    Any questions???

    Shane

Well, if it wasn't you personally I retract my comments and apologize. Do you know who was there then? I'd like to politely request that in order to avoid erroneous conclusions that you politely suggest to guests on your computer that they remember that comments from your IP address, especially comments that seem self-serving or potentially flaming may well be understood as coming from you. You put yourself in a position of prominence in the community as a trainer of guides and promoter of canyoneering training. I'd suggest that you remind your guests that responsibility is prudent given that it's traceable to your IP address.

Rich, I have no beef with you. I disagree with some of the positions you hold but I'd drink a beer with you.

Just for the record, limited and occasional canyoneering-related commercial posts are allowed over there, even from you. Anonymous or deceptive commercial posts are not allowed. Please keep the commercial posts very limited so we don't have to have any more silly rules.
