If you've ever driven past this area on Hwy 89 just outside Wahweap marina on Lake Powell, you might be curious what's hiding behind those hills...

Now I know. But something tells me it's a bit out of my price range. Wonder if they'll let me sleep in the dirt out back, but still enjoy the pool? Maybe a group discount for FreezeFest XII? Certainly in a nice neighborhood.

Unfortunately, not an easy embed for the video, watch it here on Men's Journal - http://canyons.me/UfSQqL

My friend John pointed that out to me as we passed by to go boating on Lake Powell. Gorgeous!

I've been dreaming of that place for some time now. I floated going there for my 50th, in a couple more years. Except that one night in the suite I would insist upon would blow my whole canyoneering trip budget for, like, a decade...

I've got it, we all start going door to door selling ropes and packs for Imlay, and with the extra profit from those sales, Imlay rents out the resort for FFXII.

So I figure we need to sell 10,000,000 feet of rope, so lets get started!

That via ferrata reminds me of another, albeit less scenic:

I was browsing through Google Earth looking for canyons when I spotted Amangiri! We then went on a tour for Hospitality Management ... I don't think I'll ever have the money to stay at that place.

Roughly, the worst suite (which I feel bad saying 'worst' cause it's amazing) can run about $1000 a night in the off season.

How many people do you think the suite will hold? I'm thinking massive slumber party! :)
