Anyone have any insight or comments on this shoe coming out in 2022? I heard about them from ZAC. http://www.mountainblog.eu/product/la-sportiva-tx-canyon-summer-2022/
Wow...a canyoning version of the TX...sweet! One of my favorite sticky approach shoes is the TX3. Funny...I just tried on my old La Sportiva Exum River shoes...they're pretty beat... Looking forward to this model from my favorite shoe folks...!
Excited for this one. La Sportivas tend to fit my feet well. But "water drainage holes" are just "sand letting in holes" on the Colorado Plateau and "quick-lace" systems are often just "broken lace" systems on the Colorado Plateau. Not to mention my experience with velcro across the top is also pretty bad. Again, fills up with sand and gets abraded away pretty quickly.
None. Some are pretty good, but they all have at least one major weak point. Some people are harder on gear than others. I tend to be able to get quite a bit of life out of my gear. I’ve had several pair of Adidas Hydrolace shoes. I’ve found them to be a reasonable option. Pros: Excellent protection for your feet and ankles. Warm. Body of shoe is very durable. Reasonably grippy. Cons: Poor tread design Narrow fit Eyelets wear through Velcro around ankle gets destroyed Hopefully these issues can be addressed by LaSportiva, but I can unfortunately see several areas of weakness in this new shoe.
I resemble that. I blame it on the extra 60 lbs I carry around. Plus the extra 20 in my pack because I showed up to the trip with a Heaps instead of a Mystery.
