yesterday, with a group of six, we descended Kolob Creek car to car in 8 hours with a flow of 3CFS. We were expecting more flow based on what we had heard, but still really enjoyed the canyon. We had three ropes going at the same time and got through the technical section in 2 hours, made from the last rappel to the MIA in 3.5 hours, and hiked up the MIA in an hour and a half. We were pretty surprised when we had got to the last big rappel and it was already over, but the creek hike afterwords provided some great scenery and jumps into cold pools. We all decided that we'd come back and do it again when the flow was at 5CFS for more sporty experience.
Thanks for the trip report. Planning on jumping in on Monday (10/7/19). I will post a new trip report with conditions.
Unfortunately, we never checked the flow from the road. We just eyeballed the flow at the start, which had the ferocity of a garden hose.
