VANITY has required me to wear at most a Large size wetsuit for many years. I do fit on the size chart in a Large, however, the size chart is set for surfers (on these Hyperflex suits) who are unlikely to walk very far.

Alas, when I looked in the basement to pull a non-holy suit for the Costa Rica trip, I found no Large Suits, but several Extra Large. Was it time to admit defeat? My weight has not changed, it has hovered around 185 for the last 10 years, sometimes up sometimes down. But none of my used suits was particularly tight so... so I pulled out an XL suit and tried it on. Yes, the arms and legs are an inch or two longer than they need to be. But overall...

    WHAT a RELIEF!

So much easier to move in. Plenty tight enough to be warm. So much better.

That would be really uncouth. I would NEVER make fun of people who break their leg walking around in a non-technical canyon -- it's just too easy.

I can't speak for all of us in the "Clydesdale" category but for myself (6'2" and a fairly solid 260lbs), you will always be little Tom. :)
