Gear~TOPO! map software

The TOPO!software came in today(Thanks Tom and CUSA)and it is as easy as I had hoped.It took a little while and maybe a little cursing to get the data installed on my hard drive.Now that it's all set up it is really easy to use.To my mind it operates much like Adobe Photoshop. I don't have a GPS but it looks as though it would be easy to get maps onto a handheld. BTW if you ping me sideband with the coordinates of secret canyons,I'll be able to check them out...LOL

You pretty much can't get maps into a handheld unbless you buy the map software from the handheld GPS manufacturer - its proprietary format and $$ software.

No point really - screen is too small. Just download the routes and carry a map printout from Topo. Works for me

If anyone needs Garmins mapsource topographical maps of the entire US, contact me. I have them as well as the mapsource western National Parks map. Reed
