A simple one. A little bigger and the capturee would go to the belly and/or use a pack drag

From FreezeFest XVII. Ranger Josh, in his Christmas best, uses the pack drag, to get low enough to be captured

Having observed his slide first hand I'd love to see the pics but they're not coming through for me.

The first 5 folks got through the hole and down, with slings anchored, by meat, on the up canyon side, Anchor person hidden here.

When it came time for the last person, the primary person doing the capture (Matt), had poor and insecure footing. So someone stood behind him (Luke), pushing into Matt's back. But Luke had poor footing too, so two folks, one (Tre-C) stabilized Luke's right foot and the other (Steve) stabilized Luke's left foot and back also, making the stack strong and secure, making capturing Nate easy peezy.

I had a feeling that capture would find its way to this thread. It was one of the more interesting captures I've ever done.

Would it have been better if the top guy had stood on your head in order to start the capture higher/earlier? :) jk, cool capture - especially like how you passed the capturee down the chain.

Passing the capturee down the chain!!! What happens when that is not planned for properly? This! Deep water saves the day
    [IMG]

Looks good, but where is the last person gonna pass?

The pack drag, to perfection....Bucky on point

The overhang at the bottom makes it tougher
    [IMG]
Straight legs almost always for the person captured. This time, with the low overhang, sideways and bent legs, helps get Bucky lower and easier to capture.

IMG_4768.JPG Doesn't look like much, but the rappel anchor (a potshot) didn't pull. Twice. So we eventually had to capture this 12 foot drop. The key involves the bottom person holding the feet of the middle person.

So sweet. Honoring Ram by wearing the same kind of 1950's helmet that he wears!!!
