Can anyone give me an idea of how much snow east zion typically gets during the winter? I'm specifically asking for the area on the north fork road between the Ponderosa and the Birch Hollow trail had. I know it's about 6,500 feet. Does that area typically get covered in feet of snow during the winter or is it usually a few inches hear and there and sometimes it will get a good dumping?

    Thanks for any info.

Winters here are HIGHLY variable. Yes, it can get covered with snow for extended periods of time. Or it can be dry. When wet, the road can be impassable shortly after turning to dirt/gravel/mud/mud-foam... OR in drier conditions, the first really bad spot is where the road crosses Birch Hollow (kept wet by deep shade).
