I wish I had time to fix Lower Refrigerator. Someone replaced all the webbing with BRIGHT ORANGE! You can see it on the hike to Angels Landing. It is now the most visible anchor in Zion.

Spry Canyon, Sept 19th. AFTER two other groups from the Rendezvous came through.

May I remind people that a Rendezvous is a chance to show off your good canyon skills and custodianeering chops...

Thought about removing it on the search and rescue mission, but decided to leave it for historical value.

Quandary, just the direct. Come on people. Super heavy since it was soaking wet rope.

I am guessing that the peeps who rigged these anchors are not the same who frequent this forum..

I have taken a good bit out of some canyons in Capitol Reef, but took no pictures..

worst canyon for waterlogged rope left all through it was Entrajo, FWIW.

You are the man! I feel pretty bad about all that crap. We went through in mid August and saw it all and should have taken it out. But we were a small group and the thought of all that heavy rope, combined with the 95 degree heat was too much for our lazy arses. How long ago did you go through? Did every drop in the direct section still have a rope?

In the future, you can get partial credit by carrying out SOME of the trash. Yes, sometimes it is just too much.

We were there a couple weeks ago with Mike and others. I'm pretty sure there were only 2 ropes setup.

Condoms, huh? Wonder what the story behind this is....F'd up to leave it behind like that. With as much stuff as there is there, looks like someone just upped and walked away. Left behind a sleeping bag?
