I met Matt in Joshua Tree at a campfire late last year. A few weeks back we climbed Mt. Baldy together in a bit of a storm. I didn't know him well, but I am greatly saddened at the news of his death. He was a very nice young man and it was easy to tell he had a kind soul. My sincere condolences to his friends and family. They must be very sad after loosing such a fine young man.
