Breaking fiddlesticks

Having pulled on a stuck one with 410 horsepower, I could have told you what happens. They bend, not break. Mine looked like yours, bent at 90 degrees before it came out.

Nice to know how much force it took exactly though.

Thats not me. just sharing it because I watch that channel’s other videos on breaking bolts, etc

Pretty serious rappel for single bolt in sandstone....

Please note, they did not use a genuine FiddleStick (TM) nor a genuine Smooth Operator (TM). They used something their friend made in his/her shop. Thankfully they used polycarbonate, so it worked. But the actual bending strength of the genuine products (FS and SO) were not determined in this test - though the over conclusion ("plenty strong") is valid.
