    Fun short canyon. We went through around noon and the canyon just lit up for us. Absolutely beautiful. Both the webbing and the anchors looked good. The canyon was bone dry.

    We descended the east fork after finishing No Kidding due to its convenient location right next to East Leprechaun. There was no water in the canyon and we made it down to our car in 1.5 hours only doing two of the rappels, down climbing or handlining the rest.

    I'd say a 45 in chest and 190 pounds would really be pushing the limit, smaller is more comfortable. That's too large for the main fork. You'll be holding your pack in hand, so keep it light and narrow. Warmed up fast after wading chest deep with 2 layers, no wetsuit. High of 47'F, overnight low of 28, some rain a few days before. Bring elbow pads and a hand line.

    My husband and I went down Leprechaun East Fork on Sept. 30 2014. We had gotten the weather report from the BLM office in Hanksville the previous evening. We parked right off of 95, spent a few hours hiking to the entrance. We got there about noon. We skipped the optional rappel and went straight in. We were taking our time, enjoying ourselves and taking pictures. Around 1pm it sprinkled on us. Past the second rap we went through two potholes that required swimming. We weren't expecting that. Just after we made it through the two potholes, it started really raining on us. We moved ahead hoping to see a higher level to climb up to. We did. There was a sandy area up on the left that we climbed up on and waited for the rain to stop. By this time there was a stream running through the canyon and several small falls coming into the canyon from the sides. It was dark by the time the rain stopped. We had our headlamps on, but there was still water running through the canyon. Not knowing what the weather might do, we decided to wait until the sun came up the next morning. It was a long cold night. In the morning, we were relieved to find that we were very near the last rap, with just a few wading potholes before it.
